According to what I was taught growing up in the church is that the new testament was revealed to replace and nullify the old testament right or wrong?

So in the old testament the eating of swine was forbidden right? But now because of the new testament swine flesh is now allowed right?

So why do churches and "Men of God" ask for tithing since tithing is only found in the old testament and was only meant for Jews?

99% of "christians" just do whatever they want and justify it with the Bible later. No logic behind it other than that, it's why there are hundreds of flavors of christianity all with their own rules. The fucking book hasn't changed in a thousand years but christianity has gone through several midlife crises, indoctrination is a plague.

The new testament does not refute the old. Verses like, "He who is without sin cast the first stone blah blah blah" have been proven to have been added by the church. In the ancient scriptures of the New Testament, this and other verses are not found at all.

Don't overthink it, there's no drawing line, the church nulify whatever it want and keep whatever it want.

Honestly, there's no explicit verse nulifying dietary law in the new testament, it's just some incredulous mental gymnastic to justify getting rid of them
