Possible lifefuel for Chinacels in here?

They made deals with the taliban and Argentina, signs of a growing influence

They also suspended visas for japanese and South Koreans, in retaliation for those two countries' covid testing reqmts targeting Chinese visitors - say what you say about China, that's based af,, and IMO, I think it's a statement from china to thr world that, if in the future, China is given the "Russia treatment" (sanctions and canceling), they're going to reply

Yeah, they really aren't pussyfooting around now that they have the power needed to strike back against pretty much everyone who does something against them. Just look at the way they are still squeezing Lithuania no matter what the EU says, or about how they acted during the entire Meng Wanzhou saga. Pure, no-nonsense hostage diplomacy and an eye-for-an-eye logic.

If you look at oil imports, North America no longer imports any net oil. But China is importing around 12 million barrels a day.

Exactly. As long as they still need the cooperation of the countries there, they have to involve themselves in the region, one way or another. Will be interesting to see what will happen in the region in the near future, especially with Saudi Arabia being one of the most mentioned potential future BRICS members, along with the entire petroyuan possibility hanging in the air.

Ya with Iran as a major Chinese ally it will be interesting.

China offers an actual alternative to the West. Because China manufacturers everything. And the Chinese can build things and operate them in these other countries. And for poor countries China has capital to fund those projects.

Like I was saying with the Ukraine war, Russia wouldn't be able to survive without China. Because Russia's internal economy would grind to a halt without all sorts of specialized equipment and parts. But since China has their versions of all those, Russia can switch to importing from China.

Essentially if you think about the Chinese line of control on its Western flank its currently goes down Russia, to the Caucuses Mountains area, to Western Iran which is all huge mountains. Pushing the line West would go into Eastern Europe like Ukraine and into the Arabian Peninsula.

Very nice. Glory to the Middle Kingdom

Xi works hard for the money.

Indeed. It really says something that the current cope Western shills are repeating when it comes to China is not anything about them being unable to ever reach economic/technological parity with the US, or being internationally isolated, but that its demographics will somehow make it collapse (despite there having never been a country that openly collapsed because of shit demographics, instead of simply declining), despite the face that even simply the amount of Chinese that hadn't moved yet past being subsistence farmers is larger than the US population. Even with a falling population, they probably have a decade or two where they could grow their workforce simply by continuing to integrate those villagers into a modern economy, not to mention that they are leading the world when it comes to automatization, with their ratio of robots/workers growing faster than pretty much that of anyone else in the world.

Ya the collapsed birthrate will eventually be a major problem for China assuming they don't fix it. But it will take some time to reduce their potential power, because the population is already so insanely large. And up until about 5 years ago the birthrate wasn't that bad.

What makes China so powerful is the Chinese being NE Asians, like the South Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese, we know what they can do. They can organize into large scale organizations that are effective. With that you can do anything.
