I’m an American, born and raised in California - I have always hated the Chevrolet Corvette.

I always was a “Mustang guy,” American boys have a choice of liking three American cars: Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, or the Dodge Challenger.

I always liked Ford Mustangs the most, especially since my aunt owned one.

So, I suppose I am a bit bias, since I grew up with Ford vehicles in my life (my mom drove an Explorer).

Reason #1 I don’t like Corvettes is - they are ugly. It’s hard to be an “ugly convertible,” - the Corvette is definitely an ugly convertible.

Reason #2 I don’t like Corvettes is - they are too light to race, since they flip over easily.

Reason #3 I don’t like Corvettes is - for the price, why spend so much money on an ugly American car? You could buy a nice Italian car with that money.

Reason #4 I don’t like Corvettes is - it’s an expensive car that is known for having a cheap interior.

Reason #5 I don’t like Corvettes is - I see a lot of foids driving them.

I don't understand why American muscle cars can't corner and are seen over/undershooting corners, hitting pedestrians, losing control on a simple greenlight burnout etc. While any Japanese or European compact car has better stability control, suspension, traction control, etc.

Comparing big muscle cars with compact cars :feelsseriously:

Yeah, I hate driving a Nissan Sentra, but I have never been in an accident that was my fault - because, I maneuver like a ninja, very nimble, I avoided a dumb Mexican pulling out of a parking space in his truck. Even the guy walking past us was impressed, he thought he was going to see a crash.

Even a simple, cheap Japanese compact car handles way better than a muscle car. This seems to me a major design flaw with these muscle cars... there is room for improvement.

Their build quality is utter garbage I heard. They should use fibreglass bodies again.

Not that i care too much because I'm bankrupt

I like them and I come from a mustang family (every member including me has two) I like the newest ones with the motor in the back and the early 2000 ones.

Let’s try a visualization.

Imagine spending $180,000 (172.92 euro) on a 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

Now - imagine spending $180,000 on a 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera…

It’s a water decision.

I would love a c6 corvette ,the smaller interior makes it even better. I never have anyone besides my mom in the car with me so it would be perfect

That visual is gross in my head, an old toilet and her son in a Corvette…

Of course I love them! They are badass exotic sports cars!

I would flip a Corvette, I fear.

Ugly vehicle, I had forgotten about this thread, but now that monstrosity-made-of-lightweight-material is stuck in my memory.

I can’t believe people like that ugly 2-seater, by a ratio of 9:2!

I rarely see Corvettes on the road at all in FEMA Region 9, I like it.
