Laws are skewed in favor of women. They get better deals in divorces, they get paid by the state for being single whores with children, they can't be prosecuted when they make false accusations of rape or domestic violence, we even have the term "femicidio" femicide that is used to add more years to murders sentences and it's not even used properly cuz very few men kill women just cuz they're women (without any other reason) but thats how the justice system deals with us. If you're a man and you kill a woman, it doesn't matter why you did it, you're automatically worse than a mugger that kills a male worker in the streets. You can't even marry a foid without the fear of being fucked over in the future, be it by a divorce or false accusations. They don't need abundant resources to convict a foid that confesses she lied about being raped, or to apply the same sentence to all murderers instead of stating that foids lives are more valuable by law, or to be fair with both parties at a divorce instead of giving everything to the foid without question. Theocracy doesn't have to mean full on either imo. Runs a spectrum from ayatollah style Iran rule to more traditional latin american countries where abortion is banned and at least publicly, religious values relating to manners of dress and sexual modesty are enforced imo.
Nah I live in Uruguay. It's one of the most europeanlike countries in south america. Also, I don't think most people care much about religious values anywhere in the continent considering the levels of promiscuity and degeneracy everywhere in latin america. Tho there must be some secluded places where people still have some decency.

Until recently though abortion was illegal in Argentina because of religious reasons and there is speculation it could end up becoming legal in other South American countries. Abrahamic religion is at least a bit of damper on public displays of promiscuity and degeneracy as long as it is not paid lip service to like in formerly more religious anglo countries like the UK and US.
Usually the farther away from cities, anglo influence and smartphones and ease of access to social media the better. Not saying it's ideal either and it comes with drawbacks but cities, anglo influence on culture and smartphones have made things worse than before
