Here in Brazil, it happens a lot. My aunt paid for healthcare for the entire family for decades and when she got cancer they simply declined coverage counting she would die before the lawsuit would be judged. Too bad she paid her treatment from her own pocket, then sued them --- and won (reimbursement + peanuts in damages).

Police say Thompson was “specifically targeted” in the “brazen attack” by a gunman who is still at large after fleeing the scene on an e-bike. The suspect is described as a white male dressed entirely in black, with a black ski mask, and carrying a gray backpack.
Photos from surveillance footage show the hooded suspect standing in front of the counter at a Starbucks at West 56th Street and 6th Avenue just minutes before the shooting.
While the attack appears to be targeted, police said they do not yet have a motive.

They're hyper competitive, type A, and sociopathic. Some of the biggest douchebags ever. They got large $3-12+ million dollar homes in the exclusive rich neighborhoods in the hills, expensive cars, a wife, and kids. They get foids constantly throwing themselves at them.
I've personally heard one exec physically threaten to remove under-performing workers from the building. No lie.
They're probably all quiet now lol.
Its a winners take all in modern post industrialized society. Those tech/biotech/healthcare CEOs, higher up management, VC investors, asset wealth managers, real estate speculators/landlords, and senior engineers control all of the wealth in this country and have access to the most high quality women. I see it in real life.
I expect things to get much more worst in this country as far as the wealth gap problem. In the future you'd got to be a balsy mother fucker to be driving around in an expensive car. Because if there are enough poor, desperate, and angry people out there, chances are a few of them will be ultra low inhib enough to act. They will feel totally justified in robbing and killing you for your expensive car and watch.
