Back in 2016/2017 (the last time I was single), I started having a lot of success closing on dates by playing up my family's supposedly extensive and elite CCP connections in China.

The truth is my fam is from Taiwan and we have a handful of distant relatives in the mainland, none of whom are CCP members. But on dates, I would insinuate about how I'd just opened a whiskey bar in China with my "uncle in Beijing who is pretty high up in the government", then I'd show them the website of some whiskey bar in Beijing and act like I owned it, tell her how "sourcing single malt Japanese whiskies can be tricky, the Hakushu people don't believe in selling more than 30 bottles to any establishment to keep demand high" (just made up shit to sound like it was all real). With some particularly gullible women I would mention that I met Xi Jinping, my uncle is his right hand man, etc etc.
