Castlevania is one of the very few anime that deosnt try to act like its neutered. Dead ass unlike 99 percent of japanease anime you dont see the dumbass cliches, or the character anouncing there attacks like its a RPG game or chess or weird hair colors that look like somthing out of gen z culture except for like the 4th season and beyond.
Another thing is it deosnt try to do this sexual tease were it teases sexual energy between the bitch boy anime character and some girl who has a body less realistic then the disney princess cartoon. It just keeps things straight forward. Another thing is that alot of anime has no other vaule then bitches being overley sexy. Castlevania deosnt need that because they make it good in other ways. Action, philosophy story and lore. Its kinda there with nocturn but it isnt that bad.
Also lets talk the story. Nocturn is no were near as good as the origonal but its alright. The orgonal is somthing that is realistic the salem witch trials. It has real fucking hystory mixed with fiction as both a entre and side dish meal of what you see. And the creators seem to understand that works since now they bring up gods of african religions keeping up the IRL religions instead of pulling shit out of a random geuss of what to call such faith.
Castlevanias philosophy: this anima had the philosophy of building and making a greater society. From Lisas goald from the first episode, to Belmont teachting the people of Gresit to fight deamons, Alucards failed attempt to do the same with this one japanese couple. To Issaq teaching the night creatures to build and live as humans in adition to Issaq killing Carmilla to prevent a world wide dictatorship. And how deos the OG series end? With Trevor Belmont along with Sypha Allucard and this one other woman whos name I forgot taking all there knowlege. And building for a greater society. The bad guys except for Dracula also symbolizes what is evil, those who hold back humans from making a greater society, those with power vauling animal insticts causing them to destroy great accomplishments. Those who want to destroy great accomplishments for dictators. To even referencing technoligys such as the bagdad battery though Alucard refers to the parthians storing lightning in a jar. Also called out god for the tower of babel wile condoning Jesus. Not a philosophy you see alot.
Nocturns philosophy: I geuss the reason the devs wanted the next series to be during the fench revolution is because the philosophy of nocturn is free will. References to slavery. Night cretures going against the forge masters will to be them selfs. Vampires rejecting there own 2nd nature to be more compatible with humans. Even Olrox, a vampire who killed a Belmont going agaisnt the main villians almost killing Drolta. Nocturne is about free will. And the true villian. Nocturns version of death. "Old man cyote". Somone who seems to want to unfluence those to loose there minds. To act out as in evidence of Mairas final confritation to well Nocturens currupt preist. Nocturn is about rejecting immoral and fraudulent authority. And it shows off with at the end of season 2 showing the beheading of king Luis. A man who failed his people. Also I like how this philosophy was forshadowed by Issaq thinking about giving freedom to all his night creatures and giving a berry to a creature just before he ruins Carmillas dictator maxing.
