It was dissapointing to learn that koalas are banned from Tasmania where she’s from (save for the zoo or some special wildlife preserve IIRC) since they’d fuck up the eco system apparently if allowed into the wild.
Kangas however?
She’s got them all over the place.
They’re basically like deers are in Michigan where I’m from meaning you see them all the time as roadkill or alive and wandering about when you’re out and about basically.

Other than my Selkie obsession from her sociopathic and narcissistic abuse of my mind I also found the kangas and koalas thing ideal to gentle down some of the nastier (overly angry) members of the userbase as well a humorous thing to name new Australian members but also I used these marsupial groups experimentally to see if the users would really take to them in a real tribal sense ie think my team Vs your team kind of thing (and begin hilariously fighting eachother over which group was better) whether it’s say a literal sports team rivalry or just something such as Sony Vs Nintendo etc.Not the user per se but the username

(Though I’m not a victim of Selkie as I was simply desperate for love as we all are here so persued her illusions of it anyway even though I knew what she was from the start but tried to trick myself into believing she was normal and actually into me. Sigh.)
Then lastly there were users that would sign up with shitty or ugly usernames I didn’t want shitting up the board so I’d rename them into a cute little fuzzy wuzzy instead which gave plenty of users a laugh at their expense as well myself especially when a lot of those dummies thought they’d been hacked and start PMing the mods about it.
@Uggo Mongo had me dying from laughter when a user came to us and inquired about his name change and Uggo replied “Oh our software just automatically does that sometimes” and the guy actually believed him!
Other than that some users just get tired of their username or fear they are being gangstalked by normalfags and so literally ask me to Kanga or koala them or just name them whatever I want to help them hide.
