The only source of happiness from lifting is seeing your stats go up/getting bigger. In running, you get endorphins just from doing it alone.
i doubt there's 0 chemical benefit. I definitely feel something. I read that you need an hour of vigorous exercise to release endorphins and when I was doing my full workout it would take longer.
