I loved it as a kid, though my introduction to it was that reboot with the new cast, with the schizo Mike guy, I used to listen to Monster by Skillet edits of him on youtube.
I enjoyed NGE, and im not really into anime.

Foids are only obsessed about one thing. Them "liking" something like NGE is only a means to and end for them. Same thing goes for normies.
NGE is semi-based because of shinji and his dad, the foids are annoying tho

I have a feeling that it's gonna have too much exposition for my liking. I saw a tiktok where Shinji was talking a lot about abstractions or some shit and I usually don't like characters being self-aware in terms of their own psychology.
I think I'm going for Succession for now, it seems to be the most engaging and I need some entertainment rn.
NGE doesn't suffer from that in my opinion. Just give it a watch and see what you think. The start might feel slightly slow on your first watch, but past episode 5 or 6 it really gets going.
