It's only well-payed if you do it for the left, race denial, systemic racism, underplaying communist attrocities, denying sexual dimorphism, those can get you a solid academic position. Doing it on the right is doing it pro bono and 70% or so of the ideas are the same level of stupidity as the ones on the left, so you are still working with mostly shit.
