You are too far gone for minoxidil alone.
Minoxidil mono-therapy would work best for early diffuse thinning, to buy like a couple years of time.
You need much stronger solutions in addition to minoxidil
But beware of side effects, of course. I did not react well to finasteride, either orally or topically. Even minoxidil gives me side effects if I take too much.
Next I will try topical dutasteride, because it's supposed to have a higher molecular weight and therefore go less systemic. Then there's RU-58841

Get a hair system, minox will do nothing for your hair, maybe a bit but only to compliment the hair system, use it on your eyebrows too

It might if you dermaroll with it, though you’d have to use it for life and risk the side effects that come with it. Quite frankly, posting on this forum alone already means it’s over so I doubt a full head of hair will suddenly make foids head over heels for you, so it doesn’t seem worth the effort. If you can grow a beard, grow one and get a buzzcut.
Maybe also use micro needling, but honestly you seem to have Sub5 face, you might just shave bald or use a toupee

Minoxidil by itself won't be enough. You need to be on finasteride as well to prevent further balding, and gain some regrowth.
I remember a study of derma roll and minoxidil combined help with hair regrowth.
It also helps beard growth, which is permanent if you use it long enough since it simply accelerates your potential beard genes to what they would’ve been in years to come, but a receding hairline will always return if you stop minoxidil.

It’s not as bad as you guys are making it out to be though I agree it is pretty bad. My hairline isn’t recessed to top is just thinned. Plus the rest of my hair is very thick.
