I applied for a cashier job in a candy shop - so I could get cheap candy, and they actually called me back. I didn't answer the phone, but the manager sent me a text message asking me to call back ASAP.

I have not worked as a cashier since 2013, I hate normies. Although, I do want discounted candy.

I just got off the phone with the hiring manager - he was a guy, his accent seemed Arab, and he just asked me about my experience. I told him my background working with cash registers, and computers, and I told him "I can sell candy".

He texted me the address of the business, and I'll be there tomorrow at around noon.

My mom would lay an egg if I ever worked at a gas station, she thinks a robber will shoot me, and she will lose her only child. I'm pretty sober right now, so working with cash doesn't intimidate me. A candy store would be dominated by kids anyway, and I can see management forcing employees to wear masks (so people can't see my ugly face).

Yeah dawg, I got used to that when I worked for El Casa Depot, they would make us stand in one place for two hours. Of course, this job was explained to me as being a typical candy shop associate position, I'll be able to walk around.

Thanks, I am way more mature now as a wizard.

21-year-old me was crazy, I would leave during my lunch break and sit in my car and do dumb stuff - that's all changed now, completing an eight-hour shift is easy for me as an adult.

I've done that also. I have worked in warehouses, and I have worked behind the cash register - both can be awful.

The problem with working in a warehouse now is that everyone wants to be like Amazon, so employees are treated like robots. The fulfillment job that I worked over the winter, made us arrive at work at 5:00am to do inventory.
