Previous post:
So let's look at the psychometric data first:
Childhood IQ: 152 on the Naglieri at age 10 (test ceiling of 160 with an SD of 16)
(since Mensa accepts the those who score 2 SD above the mean, we can infer the NNAT2/NNAT3 has an SD of 16)
AFQT score (subsection of ASVAB): 99th percentile (test has a ceiling of 99)
Army GT score (subsection of ASVAB): 144 [test ceiling of 144 (147???) with an SD of 16]
(Highest Army GT score was changed to 144 (147???) for current ASVAB norms)
Navy GT score (subsection of ASVAB): 141 (not sure about test ceiling, has an SD of 15)
Since the AFQT score has a low ceiling (top one percent is pretty low ceiling) and I don't know the correlation Navy GT score has with Army GT score, AFQT, and IQ respectively (I'm unaware of the methods the US military uses to calculate different subset scores on the ASVAB), they shall be excluded from my overall composite IQ estimate
Now we need to find the correlation between each test:
correlation between childhood IQ and adult IQ is 0.84
correlation between adult IQ and ASVAB (AFQT) is 0.8
correlation between ASVAB (AFQT) and Army GT score is 0.81
correlation between childhood IQ and Army GT score: 0.84 x 0.8 x 0.81 ≈ 0.54
Now we need to find the mean of the overall composite score:
this is pretty easy lol
Composite mean = 100 + 100 = 200
Now we need to find the standard deviation of the overall composite score:
https://megasociety.org/noesis/141/ferguson.html
Composite σ = SQUARE ROOT OF: σ1^2 + σ2^2 + 2r12σ1σ2
Composite σ = SQUARE ROOT OF: 16^2 + 16^2 + 2(0.54)(16)(16)
Composite σ = SQUARE ROOT OF: 256 + 256 + 276.48
Composite σ = SQUARE ROOT OF: 788.48
Composite σ ≈ 28
Now that we have the requisite data, let's holistically estimate my composite IQ
Since I scored 152 on an IQ test and 144 on the Army GT, my total score would be 152 + 144 = 296, which is 96 points higher than the average person who would have a total composite score of 200.
96/28 ≈ 3.43, so I scored 3.43 SD above the average for a person who took both tests, which equates to an IQ of approximately 155+ (SD 16)
TLDR: I have a composite IQ of approximately 155+ SD 16 (Reason why it is 155+ and not 155 is because both tests where at or near the test ceiling + I took the ASVAB with 3 hours of sleep and virtually no prep beforehand)

Should I make a post calculating my composite IQ score based on childhood IQ, AFQT score, and army+navy GT score?
No guarantees I'll ever bother. I just want to see if you guys would approve @DarthBurritoBastard @pedrolopezwasright @Castaway @based_meme
