definitely not. I wouldn't be surprised if this is quite quick like NATO did in Yugoslavia. Once one has been exposed to a developed lifestyle, any reductions in that current standard of livings is an affront. How many people there would rather suffer for freedom rather than just acquiesce and live like Russians? I guess we're about to find out.
 
Nasdaq was down from 16,320 at Dec-31-2021 to 13,507 at the close today, which is a 17% decline which is a lot.

Nasdaq could be into bear market territory (a 20%+ decline from peak prices) when the market opens tomorrow.

Thing is though, Ukraine is more brutal with all of the covid bs. Also they're not even democratic, the US state department did a coup there in 2014 and they ban any real opposition parties.

I have heard about Euromaidan being Western backed but it’s rarely covered here in the Us. We’ll probably only know for sure in 70 years when things are de-classified

In my opinion, you're thinking too small and failing to look at the much larger picture of what can be. In my humble opinion concerning our now apocalyptic completely nihilistic might make right dystopian future of ours, this more or less is the future assuming there are any survivors left from the wreckage at all to rebuild from the ashes. Lone wolves or actors accomplish nothing on their own of merit, and noteworthiness, but millions of male revolutionaries coming together however will.
