Brutal Brutal Reminder for Gym Copers

That's why you'll get whooped by 130 pound blue belt if you don't learn how to fight and think gym is enough
Obviously gym is not enough,I'm looking into learning martial arts soon. Gym would be enough maybe if I was a 6'3 giant and like 280 lbs or something, but I'm not. Even then I could get fodderized by someone who is similar height probably if he has training.

Nice. What combat sports are you into? What looks fun?

That's my goal currently,I wanna get way stronger :feelsLSD: it's one of my best copes. I find it fun personally, even though it's exhausting.

True it’s always essential to do martial arts, boxing, wrestling and BJJ are very good to do.

Nothing specific really,I got into MMA 3-4 months ago maybe. I was looking into learning some striking based sport first like kickboxing maybe, and then try something with grappling. I'm not yet knowledgeable enough to comment much on it. What would you recommend?

I'll think about it. BJJ is held in very high regards from what I know.

he's just like me but with friends

I'd recommend taking an MMA free class near your area if you haven't gotten a taste of martial arts yet. Where I used to go to had specific classes. I was taught BJJ four classes weekly, K1 kickboxing four classes weekly and MMA Fit Conditioning once a week. It's very fun and made me feel more powerful than I should've.

Now I'm doing solely boxing to become an amateur, and I recommend it as well, it's just you'd be without leg strikes and grappling.

Be careful of going to a McDojo "kickboxing gym" where you're really just doing glorified Zumba. You need to scope out a legit MMA gym, and boxing gyms are much more easier to find and cheaper in general.

Why did you quit?
Thank you for doing so. I'm on a mission to being the fighter in this whole forum.

JFL, why did you really quit tho?

I quit because that's when my Depression and Anxiety got really bad and the people who were in my class were a bunch of annoying cunts

I'll do some scouting and find something legit hopefully. I wish you further luck on your boxing journey :feelscomfy: destroy all the normfags :feelsLightsaber::feelsLightsaber:

Get back into it. Find somewhere else, man. :feelsseriously:

I know you're Irishcel so I might PM you locations

It's completely useless unless above 5'10 and MTN in Looks
You should never step foot in a gym unless you're at least 6'2 with a good frame to start with, everything else is cope

I remember back when I was a manlet, I knew gymcelling was pointless so I just got as fat as possible to lift more. I did end up growing to average height though

I'm only 170-175 because I leanmaxxed again recently, I still look disproportionally wide because I'm an endomorph but the fat is not there anymore thankfully

I'm serious bro. You don't have to go full-on competitive and get concussed sparring, but you can still do good training and keeping your fitness up.

It does wonders for your face, I'm still ogrecel ofc but not as disgusting looking as before

tall guy kinda looks like my current physique.

Started at like 10 did till 13 stopped started again just before i was 14 quit at like 18
Did you do wrestling as well? I was a wrestler

Not really but in BJJ i basically did wrestling i tried to do as much as i could
BJJ wrestling are pretty bad, no disrespect the ground game is legit, but many BJJ practitioner logic is that "oh, all fights just end up on the ground anyways, so let's just half-ass the takedowns or just pull guard", and it emphasizes submissions from the bottom.

I personally prefer combat Sambo because it emphasizes top pressure and submissions from the top. problem is there's very few here in United States, there used to be one where I lived not anymore.

The vast majority of submissions in an actual MMA fight are going to come from the top anyways

Yeah actual wrestling and sambo is better for wrestling than BJJ wrestling for sure

Did you compete in BJJ tournaments

Yes but they weren't great in the sense they weren't international only regional
Did you win

Personally I'd recommend you try Judo, and boxing/kickboxing like the other guy said, it's a lot more fun than BJJ imo

I won fights but i never won a trophy :reeeeee:

This is why I actually want to be shorter. Shorter guys have it easier to build a nice physique.

I may have a decent frame and am tall, but I have to work that much more to fill it out.
Humble bragging in an incel forum is crazy

Maybe 5'11-6'0 in shoes, but I only measure barefoot so I'm 5'10.5-5'11 barefoot
5'11 and gym-maxed. Interesting. And you can't ascend?

The vast majority of submissions in an actual MMA fight are going to come from the top anyways
How would subpar MMA wrestling work alongside average boxing as a complete package in the context of holding back a BJJ brown or purple belt? How efficient is MMA 'wrestling'?
