Yeah this sums up the anime lookism and the female brain perfectly, I cant even watch anime these days due to the mog.
Koreans are worse than japanese for lookism

getting bullied for being ugly is a very common thing in manhwa but i barely see it in manga. Koreans must be lookist af for it to be such a common talking topic.
Not only that, many manhwa have blackpill-adjacent themes about loneliness, unfairness, natural talent etc. Maybe it has to do by the fact that south Korea seems to be a terrible rat race country from what I heard. Examples:
The Horizon - finding reason to live despite life being shit
The Boxer - same author, same as before but applied to specific themes, one being genetic determinism. Probably the best manhwa in handling all its themes.
Worthless Regression - talent vs effort
Corpse knight Gunther - protagonist was a reject who everyone wanted to die, coped with a life where only his survival mattered and everyone was his enemy. Too bad only 5-6 panels in the whole thing are dedicated to this, and the rest is action and fights.
War of Corpses - same author and same as before, but instead of coping with survival, he wants to become better than everyone. There's also an oldcel who wasted 30 years trying and failing. Talent (= genes) theme is here too. Unlike with Gunther, this is the main focus of the story.
Warrior Returns - dude gets ridicolous superpowers and goes ER with the mission to kill everyone who's happier than him, to make things fair.
