The teacher explains the concepts of algebra, and the kids, all paying equal amounts of attention and cognitive thought, write down the notes

Then they do a test, and some pass, and some fail.

Some get the concept, and some don't, no matter how hard they tried.

This was me in school, some ideas just stuck with people, and some didn't, no matter how much I tried, others got it, and got ahead.

I had a childhood friend that had A (or our equivalent) in all subjects, every single one, from math to sports to history to language and music, from early highschool all the way to the end of it, that's when I first learned the brutality of the IQ pill.
