Boyfriend vs girlfriend

Why is it more acceptable for a female to not have a boyfriend vs a man not having a girlfriend? Why is it also perfectly ok for an ugly woman to have a hot boyfriend but when a man gets an ugly girlfriend it is the end of the world?

1. Because a man without a girlfriend is seen like a failure, due to muh sexual cumpetiti0n.
2. Because an ugly woman with the sexual inflation of today´s time is "hot shit" in the market, and a man with an ugly girlfriend reeks of low value, even though they willingly ignore the fact an ugly girlfriend is the best that most sex havers can get. Provided they even get that.
