when i was 12-13 i used to get sweets, drinks and treats from this one little newsagent that was a 20 minute walk from my house.
to get there, i had to walk through this one neighbourhood that had some buses pass down it.
whenever these buses would pass, the boomer passengers on there would glare down at me.
i noticed that at the time and found it weird.
when i told my parents about it, they would shrug it off.
they told me that they where looking down at me because there was nothing else for them to look at.
but knowing what i know now about boomers, they were likely thinking:
"Why's that young whippersnapper enjoying his childhood, going down to the shops?
he should be studying at school so he can be a responsible and productive member of society and then pay tax to the government.
so when we get our pensions, we can live off his tax money because we blew all of our own saving on holidays, cars, travelling, slot machines and antique furniture.".
but thats just my opinion.
