Having listened to his tale of woe about his upbringing and abuse at the hands of his mother and myself being somewhat well read in psychology and having unfortunately known various disordered individuals in my life, I highly suspect Boogie's mother was afflicted with Borderline Personality Disorder which is not to be confused with "Bipolar Disorder" and is abbreviated "BPD" and it is one of the four Cluster B Personality Disorders which are Histrionic, Narcissistic, Borderline and Anti Social. That last one ie "Anti Social" is the new politically correct term for sociopath/psychopath and I agree with Dr. Robert Hare the world expert on psychopaths that the new term is an unfortunate name because it makes regular people reading or just hearing that term think that a person is like many of us ie a recluse that avoids human contact when that is not at all the case for sociopaths/psychopaths in reality who thrive on being around people and manipulating them for various nefarious purposes.
Anyway I digress, all four of these Cluster B Personalities feature a general sociopathic type of manipulating skillset that the afflicted are naturally quite adept at to society's detriment and yeah where I'm going with this is I think Boogie probably inherited BPD and the manipulative abilities that come with it to a certain extent from his mother.
The real reason "Dez" ie his ex wife left him probably wasn't due to her being a "feeder" and "leaving him once he decided to get healthy" as many theorizers have put forward but rather she likely got tired/burned out and freaked out enough to leave by his nonstop gaslighting (crazymaking behavior), severe anxiety and the typical Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde rage then love and sympathy act/cycle typical of the BPD's not to mention the psychological manipulation and the mind games.

What I think Boogie craves most of all...well...other than food that is, heh...is to continuously recreate the kind of nasty and negative drama and verbal fighting he went through with his mother in his youth. So he intentionally says and does stupid and or provocative stuff to piss the internet/his fans off and rile up his natural haters so he can in a way relive the drama and angst his mother created for him in his early life and thereby feel alive again for a few fleeting moments from it ie lather, rinse, repeat as he'll then profusely apologize, damage control and do what he can to get everyone or at least as many people as he can nowadays "back on his side" to begin the whole sorry affair all over again.
