43-year-old Steven Selwood was sentenced to 27 months in prison on April 28, 2023.
The reason for this was an accident in which he hit and ran over a 70-year-old cyclist as she was leaving a parking lot in Haslemere.
She unfortunately survived but suffered serious injuries and continues to suffer from mental health problems.
Selwood, who will be disqualified from driving for three years following his release from prison, was drunk (four times the legal limit).
He fled the scene of the accident but returned later.
