Jfl. Imagine having to work on these things everyday. What a fuckin nightmare.

These things are engineered for maximum performance I get that but that also means that everything is crammed together and placed in weird places for weight distribution purposes. Also the computer, electronics, and wiring are another huge hassle and they fail all the time.

You see, smart people get Toyotas and Hondas. You don't have to take out a whole bunch of crap just to fix or replace something. And on top of that, they hardly ever need fixing but if it came to that, it would be relatively easy to work on. Also parts are plenty, durable, and cheap.

Only stupid people get BMWs. Yea you might be rich and successful in management or sales but you're gonna be throwing down a ton of money to maintain these things when that money could have gone towards investments.

This BMW was over $100,000 brand new and this guy bought it for $3500 rofl.

If it was a $100,000 Lexus its resale value would be far more than $3500 i'll tell you that.

Also, this mechanic is a turbo manlet. Brutal.

I made a thread about this here:

Americans always cry about how bad and unrelieable BMWs are, but here in Germany, a shitton of people are driving them without any issues.
I had multiple BMWs in the past and they were all great, my brother has one, my friend has one and they're all happy with them.

German mechanics also never bitch about these cars as much as american mechanics do.
Isn't it hilarious how american retard mechanics will start bitching whenever a job is not piss easy?
"Blah Blah Blah on this BMW I had to loosen 4 bolts instead of just 1 like on the Hondas, BMW is so bad"
Yeah sorry you stupid amerimutt mechanic that you have to do your job, really sorry.

It has nothing to do with mechanics dumbass. The cars just constantly break down.
Did you read my post?
I had multiple BMWs, my friends and family still have BMWs, they NEVER break down. We don't have any problems with these cars.

extremely relatable.
i had a ton of problem with BMW vans in the past, they're shit tier cars. extremely easy to get broken and very high cost for fixing it.
buying a BMW car in the future? that's something i will definitely avoid.
if i am going to buy german cars then i will buy audi to avoid the hustle of fixing the car once every week.

Ive had several also. The pieces of shit cant even idle for 2 minutes without throwing an error code and having to be brought to a mechanic. Theyre all shit and its well known. Denying it would be futile.
It's only know to americans it seems, because here in Germany these BMWs are EVERYWHERE and nobody seems to have your kind of problems.

BMWs are only worthwhile if you're in Germany so that's believable. But if you're outside of Germany (like the most of us here), then choosing between a BMW or a Japanese car; you're better off choosing the Japanese car for the sake of convenience.
True.

It’s a 22 year old car and probably wasn’t maintained well by the previous owners. Im assuming you're an amerilard who doesn't know how to drive manual so have fun with your soulless jap/korean shitbox. German cars are built like tanks, speaking from personal experience

What car do you have

Japanese cars are expensive as fuck. How are you saying Toyotas are cheap, are you just online all day and never gone outside? its about $10,000 more than an american car.

I've had multiple e36 and a Z3 in the past. Currently I'm driving a second gen Lexus GS. You?
Mk6 jetta. I thought you'd drive a porsche living in Germany, I know I would if I was rich enough to buy a lexus. What brands are considered premium or luxury there? Here Mercedes, BMW, Audi are all expensive premium brands. Even VW and Skoda are better perceived than other mass manufacturers like Suzuki, Honda, Hyundai, Kia etc

I thought you'd drive a porsche living in Germany
Porsche is the best car manufacturer on the planet and if you're from Germany, you can have these cars cheaper than anyone else, so it's stupid to not be driving a Porsche when you're from Germany. Sadly, I realized that too late and now prices are through the fucking roof.
It's on my bucket list, though.

I know I would if I was rich enough to buy a lexus.
Used Lexuses are dirt cheap in Germany because nobody really sees them as luxury car. For the average German a Lexus is just another asian ecobox.

What brands are considered premium or luxury there? Here Mercedes, BMW, Audi are all expensive premium brands.
Mercedes, BMW, Audi are not really seen as premium brands here because so many people have them (entry models at least) and the parts are relatively cheap (cause we're at the source and there's a huge market for them here).
You would have to get the premium versions of these cars, like AMG, M cars or Audi RS cars to be seen as driving a "premium car".

The hierarchy of cars here (as perceived by the average German citizen) is as follows:

Supercars (Ferrari/Lambo/Porsche) > Premium (AMG, M cars, Audi RS cars) > Average cars (Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW) > "Cheap" Economy cars (everything Asian) > Trash (everything american, nobody wants those)

Even VW and Skoda are better perceived than other mass manufacturers like Suzuki, Honda, Hyundai, Kia etc
Yeah it's the same here. Asian cars are seen as cheap, when actually, they aren't even that much cheaper than BMW/Audi/Mercedes here in Germany, lol.

High IQ thread. If you have to to prove you're not poor, then flashy items are there to protect your insecurities.

I think this is an American thing. It's entirely possible that they build the BMWs outside of Germany to break, but build them to last inside of the country.

Even in vidya Porsches handle so much better than other cars. Kills me every time I see a Porsche here because they’re extremely expensive. A 911 Carrera base costs more than a house. Even the Macan base (cheapest Porsche) is as expensive as a 1 bedroom apartment

Yeah I was surprised when I found that E Classes are used as taxis in Europe because it’s a premium executive sedan here. I’m assuming they’re all poverty specs while the cars we get are all fully loaded with options

What about American cars? I have this feeling that all GayDM ”enthusiasts” are just 15 year old amerilards

What about Škoda

Car Haver problems

I'm convinced it comes down to Americans not being able to service cars properly. Also their gasoline is of lower quality than in Europe.
The average American just wants his car fixed as cheap as possible and a mentality like that doesn't go well with highly advanced precision engineering. That's why they've been getting de-tuned engines more than once in history, because Germany and Japan knows that retarded Americans wouldn't be able to service complicated engines which need proper servicing.
You can also see it by how they've been building their cars. While the Germans and Japanese were experimenting with advanced technologies like turbos and variable valve timing, the americans were still building stone-age 443cui gas-guzzlers. German and Japanese engineering was alaways about how to make it better while American engineering was always about how to make it bigger.
Americans just can't build and they can't service cars properly.

I always thought Porsches were too expensive, but if I had bought one 5 years ago, I would have actually MADE money. It's ridiculous.

I completely forgot about american cars, because those are regarded as literal trash here and you don't really see many.
The new Mustang was fairly well received though, probably because it looks so stunning.
What's "GayDM"?

What about Škoda
Skoda ist just a VW with a different badge, that's why they aren't popular. You would just get a VW instead here.

Japanese Domestic Market (JDM). The fanbase consists of spastics who think the Supra Mk4 and GTR R34 are the greatest cars on earth and faster than a Chiron

I see. I’ve read that Škoda is considered a slightly more budget option compared to VW in Europe

Yeah, I love Japanese cars, but the JDM community is completely retarded.

The whole appeal of JDM cars was that they were cheap, but now you're having morons who will pay over six figures just to drive a right-hand-drive car in right-hand traffic which is completely fucking braindamaged.

It's also too much hype now.

The Mk4 Supra isn't even a great car. It looks absolutely hideous, like a suppository and the only good thing about it was the engine, nothing else.

It's the same with the Honda NSX. It has a low power, naturally asprirated V6 which came out of Hondas economy cars, the chassis is an experimental Aluminum tub which isn't even that rigid and the gearbox outside of Japan had ridiculously long gearing. Some morons will pay over 100k for that .... braindead.

Or look at the S-Chassis, 180sx, 240sx, 200sx S13, S14. These were dirt cheap, poorly built economy beater cars but they're going for the price of an entry level Porsche nowadays, just because you have JDM fanboys braindamaged enough to pay that much.

It's sad, just sad.
But it was always like this.
Normies ruin everything.
Once something becomes mainstream and all the normies start to flood in, everything goes to shit.
It was the same with JDM culture.

I think zoomers just like it because Paul Walker drove it in the first(?) Fast and Furious movie. Other than that it’s nothing special. The new Supra uses a BMW engine anyway Jfl

Long gearing can be fun tbh, my dad’s old Suzuki reached 100kmph in 2nd gear and 140 in 3rd which was also the top speed :feelshaha:

True. Honestly Porsche kids are the new JDM fanboys and I see them under every BMW Instagram post

I drive an E46. I love it but ill probably kill me one day, not that i fear death
