The real reason they were canned is because they were just working on live service titles that didn't pan out so Sony decided to cut them loose. Not because of dei or anything like that unfortunately.

SOTC remake was good. It wasn't even a remake, it was more of a remaster, since all they did was a visual overhaul and changed some of the controls. Which is all a remaster / remake should do.

Demon's Souls remake was absolute slop.
