If you have a strong lower 3rd you can almost always get away with being bald. Problem is 90% of men have weak to normal lower 3rd which looks like shit when bald and clean shaven. Thats why you see so many beards nowadays.

The main reason imo is because black people have big, protruding foreheads, so hair is less important in framing the face compared to other races. There are of course bald chads, but they mostly have big foreheads even if their craniums are still typically European

A good bottom half of the face can make up for a lot, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that people who are more likely to bald have bigger foreheads. There must be some sexual selection where the bald people who reproduce are the ones with big foreheads since that doesn’t affect their SMV much.
