This can't just have happened to me, but one of my closest friends has now become a "black pill" and is incredibly annoying. All he talks about is how people look, that looks are everything, and he is incredibly rude to people. We usually sit on Discord and chat sometimes, and then he often jumps on people and blames them for their looks. He tells people straight up that they have ugly eyes or bad facial features, or blames someone's height because he often looks better himself. Everyone I know has started to get incredibly annoyed with him and can't stand him anymore. Considering that I've known him the longest and have been his closest friend within our group of friends, it feels pretty annoying to me. Of course, I don't want to lose him as a friend and I can see that he himself is feeling bad.
All of this is of course his own insecurity and that's why I don't want to lose contact with him, because I still think that now is when he needs to be alone the least. I try to explain to him that the problem is that he's sitting at home on social media instead of going out and meeting people. But he never listens and just says that I'm "copemaxxing". Now he's started talking about taking peptides or whatever it's called, never really understood what it is but I suspect it's something like steroids. It's so sad to see things going so badly for him right now but I don't know what to do. Has anyone else experienced something similar? And if so, what do you do when a friend becomes an incel?
Edit: please tell me if you know anyone like this. I would love to hear your stories about these types and that I'm not alone in this.
