I can't disagree more.
My experiences have been completely different from what you're saying.
I was friends with the popular guy, but it never got me a girlfriend. All it got me was a closeup look into how girls will make an effort towards a popular, goodlooking guy but never towards me. It made my inceldom even more painful, because I was literally sitting next to the guy while a girl he didn't even like wanted to hold hands with him under the table.
I was the one in highschool who girls asked: "Hi, aren't you the friend of xyz? Is he single? Here's my number, can you please give it to him?" (true story).

Social status is completely worthless if you don't have the looks to back it up. Just because you can be friends with dudes, doesn't mean girls want to be friends with you.

Plenty of young guys have friends and are integrated into a social circle but are completely ignored by girls, so what you're saying doesn't match my personal experience and it doesn't match my observations.

i had a lot of male friends in the past and managed to maintain them but i am pretty sure i will still have a problem interacting with a girl because i never had any female friends in life.
