Bears are cute. They have round, fatty body, long fur, big forehead, short big legs, big pointy ears and cute round eyes. Bear's proportion doesn't change much from their cub form, still retaining the cuteness seen in Cubs.
The same can't be said about tigers. Tigers on the other hand, looks more lean and not as fatty, their fur isn't as long, their eye shape makes them look angry, their snout are bigger, covering under of their eyes (unlike bears where their snouts end before their eyes)
In reality, both animals are just as dangerous to you if you try to cuddle with them. Bears are powerful and fast animals, so are tigers. In a fight between two, the bear would probably win. But what's the first thing that come to your mind when you talk about soft toys? Teddy bear or the teddy tiger?
There's a reason why teddy bears are dominant over other types of soft toys.
