You just have to be a tallfag. The percentage of men over 6ft is like, what, 5%? The average height of an NBA player is like 6'6-6'7 so that percentage is even lower. If you're even bigger, like 6'9+ they'll choose you just because of your height. You can be a complete dumb-motherfucker, but if you learn a few basics of the game, you're in. Other sports require much more skill to get into. Soccer (football) actually requires you to be insanely skilled at the highest level because height is not such a defining factor. You know that if you went to pro you are really one in many hundreds of thousands.

I always figured it was like 20% genetic, whereas basketball is 95% genetic.
