So I was biking back home from the train station (on the bike lane because Dutch) and a crow was standing in the way. Luckily she hopped aside onto the sidewalk (otherwise it might've been close) but as I was biking past her, she cawed at me, as if indignantly trying to say "you should make way for me". Got a chuckle out of me. Based crow.

No chuckle for your face

How do you know the crow is a foid?

I don't. But in Dutch, my mother tongue, while the word for crow is both grammatically masculine and grammatically feminine nowadays, historically the word for crow was only grammatically feminine in Dutch. In German, where words cannot have multiple grammatical genders as far as I know, the word for crow is also feminine. So I decided to treat the crow as grammatically feminine. In languages with grammatical gender, when referring to a feminine noun, you use feminine pronouns, hence why I referred to the crow as a she.
He probably tried to have sex with it
