It's entirely in that, people can immediately pick up on our lack of genetic quality due to our autism, and that makes their instincts kick in to hardcore mode to make sure we suffer. Attacking our sexuality is the greatest way they have to get under our skin, especially because they know, at an instinctual level, that our autism is keeping us single, too.
