I think you are reducing the issue quite a bit by summarizing it as "getting picked on".
I view the blackpill as a necessary part of forming a holistic world view.
Lookism, as you understand, far transcends the paradigsm of sex and sexual relation. It informs nigh every aspect of the social world we have to operate in.
As such, what he is describing is a HUGE step. If he comes to acknowlege and internalize what he has discovered, as you have propsed (and I agree with that proposition), he will face nihilism. first and foremost.
