There are many reasons as to why ASMR pisses me off:
1. I remember the beginning of ASMR, like the ASMR barber shop video and how interwoven with artifical 3D audio it all was. It was technology that simulated 3D Audio so well that you literally got goosebumps, when there was a sound behind you.
They moved the sound source around. UP and DOWN, left and right and so on.
Now lazy ASMR "waifus" or whatever you want to call them, just sit on their lazy ass and do some sexual stuff like lick the microphones, blow kisses. Basically larp as virtual GFs. I have literally never seen an ASMR video, where the woman would move in an unpredictable way in an attempt to give you goosebumps, because you wouldn't expect the sound coming from that direction. They all just sit on their ass. If they have an expensive 3D Audio recording device, they will never ever use it to its full potential.
2. They treat the viewers like children and mother them, if they aren't being total whores, who sexualize themselves.
I absolutely hate getting mothered or being infantilized. I don't know how they act on twitter, their discord or whatever, because I am not a bugmen that wants to have a personal relationship with his favourite pornstar or whatever.
Any roleplay videos are always overshadowed by a lack of commitment to proper roleplay, trying too hard to appeal to the "ASMR crowd" and doing things to try to trigger them like repeating a world randomely or whispering way too softly and doing other retarded things.
It just pisses me off. They are just appealing to people that want to see a pretty female doing sexual innuendos. They don't have any commitment. This is so bad that the term ASMR is forever tainted and now means that you watch it for the sexual innuendos and to jack off to it. You can basically never admit to liking ASMR, despite this being something that I'd argue every single human likes to some capacity.
Being home during the night, while you hear the rain pour outside and create these relaxing sounds on car roofs, on windows on your roof is nice. But now these retarded thots associate this kind of stuff with something perverted and inherently weird and sexual.
