Well, Turmeric supplements contain Turmeric in them aswell combined with some other chemicals most likely which makes it even more toxic really. And as the article says consuming large doses of Turmeric in general can cause problems:

In 2023, the Australian FDA equivalent, the Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA), issued a warning that highlighted the risk of liver injury from consuming turmeric and/or curcumin.

I think however even small amounts can cause some damage especially when you consume it for a longer period of time
