No, I studied French but I didn't learn a shit, I actually have learnt much more english here than when I was in school

It makes sense ofc, Romanian is your native language, you had to learn German due to living there & from what I hear they teach English at a young age to where more or less everyone is semi-fluent in it nowadays

One of my foid teachers had a German husband, she said him & his siblings spoke English perfect but their parents couldn't speak a lick

I'm at a B1 level in French (learned some of it in School and by traveling to France), A2 in Italian (all Romanians speak a little Italian) and Spanish (movies) and perhaps an A1 at Portuguese (personal interest). Whilst not a romance language I can understand Dutch very well as it is basically a dialect of German.

Spanish would probably be easy for you, very similar to romanian.
