I don't know what this really means, but as I've said in the past, I don't have any hatred towards gay people, I just see it as a degenerative act that shouldn't be supported.

This is the best example I can give:

If a person were a chain smoker, I wouldn't avoid them for that reason alone, if we both had common interests, and if the individual was a legitimately cool person that I feel comfortable around, then I would be more than glad to be friends with them.

With that being said, I'd still be disgusted by the act, and would request the person to do it within their own time where I don't have to deal with it.

It's a bit of a gross example, I know, but it's the best way that I can explain my opinion on this.

I am cognitively quite indifferent towards gay people. However, I do not personally like being around gay people – not because they are gay though, but because they are usually trashy in other ways. I also do not like being close to people in general (regardless of their sexual orientation), such as having a roommate.
