Well if by extremists you mean people who are not primarily interested in the welfare of soyciety then yes. If society does not serve your interests as an individual, the only relational thing to do is to just ignore social norms and do your own thing.

That can be a lot of things though, not necessarily going ER. But let's be honest here most terrorists are not in stable relationships.
