Shooters, strategy, management games are better with keyboard. Most games I prefer controllers, though. I grew up with consoles so that's hard to break.

Platformers and racing games as well as beat em ups I play with a controller.

Especially shooters of any kind with mouse+keyboard.

Not really, you mostly use WSAD and you can put it an angle to feel more natural than having a full keyboard in front of you where you have to adjust the angle of your wrist to handle the keys.
