However, society kind of teaches them the basics of that belief system first, leading them to online forums, then being a part of the online incel community radicalises them, taking them from incel to Incel. With the height thing: patriarchy has set up this idea that the ideal man-woman couple is tall man, short woman. This feeds into the belief that man = protector and woman = protected. This puts pressure on women to remain dainty and small, and makes women feel wrong and ugly if they’re not. Likewise, it makes men strive to be tall and strong, and makes them feel wrong and ugly if they’re not.

The problem with incels is they blame individuals (usually women) for this, instead of the system that taught us all this fucked up way of thinking. Rather than pushing back against patriarchy to free us all from these stupid standards, they dig deeper into it and prefer to wallow in hopelessness and resentment. That’s what makes them Incels.

Women naturally desire tall men because height is associated with physical strength and health. For all of prehistoric history having a strong male partner meant you were more likely to survive.
