I'm thinking of getting a job to afford shooting at the gun range and potentially buying a gun for myself. I personally don't have much experience with firearms outside of shooting my grandfather's .22 bolt action for hunting purposes

:fbi: Tell me more.

Yes I shoot occasionally and it is fun. I have shot rifles, pistols and shot guns but I think shot guns are the most fun especially if you are shooting clay pigeons.

Good cope yes, would recommend, although can be expensive if you’re not buying from a private sale ( like from a guy instead of a dealership)

u oh. I think I smell some glowies in here. OR perhaps more than a glowie?.
Umm, I don'T really think coping with guns is a good way of coping. Things can go bad

I would blow my head off if i had one

How so? A lot of people enjoy shooting where I live
I don't care what other people think neither you do. IF you want to get a gun get a gun why are you even asking to us anyway in the first place if you come up with arguements

you should do something terrifically funny

This guy is glowing like the sun.

Yes. They are the best cope actually

i never even heard of something called a gun. i am totally innocent and pacifist.

I want to get a gun too. A beautiful pistol I can carry around. I recently almost bought one online but was going to do a payment plan because I didn’t have enough money but my card wouldn’t go through for some reason. I lost the job I had since then and now only have literally $1.01 in my bank account rn jfl. I don’t know what would’ve happened if I actually bought it and then couldn’t pay for it anymore

I have not owned a gun in about 23 years.

But, when I was young, I went target shooting all the time with my dad.

It is a lot of fun. But, super expensive.

For target shooting at the range, I’d recommend just getting a .22. The guns are affordable and the ammo is cheap.

Plus, there are a lot of modifications you can do to some .22 rifles. Such as a bull pup stock or other types of stocks to put on it.

When I had a .22, it was really easy to get high capacity magazines too.
But that was many years ago. Before high capacity clips were being banned.

Yes, if you can afford ammo and range costs. Let me know if you want any information. I used to build custom AR-15's for competition shooters and and a few ex-military. Also got into bolt action sniper rifles a couple years ago. I swear I don't glow.

Let's say you have a moving target at a distance of around 700 yards.

You measure wind speed, altitude, everything you need in order to calculate the flight path of the bullet.

The target is a walking person. Could you kill him with a single shot?

Easy. Assuming a running speed of ~7mph for the average male with minimal wind under current atmospheric conditions, this is what my ballistic calculator is outputting. Adjust 6.4mil for elevation, 1.2mil hold for target movement. (the scope is not attached to anything, feds. I use it to spot birds :feelsYall:)
