Here's the difficult part to come to realize: if you were really an alien it would probably be an improvement in everything, even status and uniqueness (just be exotic theory @Transcended Trucel). As it stands now you are still a human (even if treated as subhuman) but not considered remarkable among a sea of other average to below average looking human males to even qualify for basic respect or enjoying aspects of life that better looking people do.
