You never know what iOS is doing, maybe scanning your files in the background, maybe they'll report you for hatespeech, all it needs is a new law and they'll just shrug and do it.
Android is open source and there exist custom ROMs, so it's much more resilient in that regard.
And iOS can't play webm's, I think
