Literally every fucking day, about war in Ukraine (I share border with Ukraine, but I am calm. I am tired of hearing how it's only Russia's fault for what happened, ignoring the fact that Western has its part of fault.),Covid and financial crisis (due to stupid sanctions on Russia, poor people like me pay the price as always, I am not pro Russia, but I care about my country). I got bored of these shits so bad.

Not from Belarus. I'm from Romania, but we still suffer a lot from sanctions, as we are really poor. In my opinion, sanctions affects more EU than Russia. We suffer for nothing, what we have to do with this war? I was pro Ukraine at the start but seeing the truth, I am neutral now.

EU's oil sanctions don't even kick in until beginning of 2023, and gas shortage in the winter is really serious.

These sanctions are a big mistake. I said that about the coming sanctions even before the big invasion, since the build-up starting in the autumn (and even the build-up in spring 2021). There should be full UN trade embargo for countries that brake the UN charter. But Russia can alone block them being permanent member with veto rights in the security council. Russia should be kicked out of UN and put under UN sanctions, meaning all countries of the world participate. EU should not put any sanctions on Russia without full participation of all countries. EU continues to pay development aid to African, Asian and Latin American countries that are pro-Russia or "neutral". All aid should be stopped to countries unless they implement the same sanctions on Russia as EU.

You have better news in Romania. Where I live, the war has barely been mentioned in the news for 2-3 months already. It is back to normal, meaning climate change is the number one topic on most days. And biodiversity loss. And Covid-19.

Western mistake was that Ukraine should have been armed with Javelins, CAESAR, Panzerhaubitze 2000, F-16, HIMARS etc. BEFORE THE BIG INVASION, maybe it could have even been prevented by arming Ukraine enough beforehand. But Russian propaganda had great influence, the supplying of Ukraine on a big scale happened only after Ukraine showed that it is willing and able to fight back. Many in the USA etc. believed Russian propaganda that Ukraine would just surrender like the Afghan government in Kabul.

Best would have been if there would have been no sanctions and direct military intervention, this could have ended in 4-6 weeks or less. But politicians are too afraid of Russian nuclear blackmail. If Biden is willing to intervene to defend Taiwan against China, why not Ukraine? China is much stronger than Russia.

There was a great piece on Financial Times. I agree with Martin Wolf who argues for direct military intervention in Ukraine.
