Anyone feel like people in general (meaning society) is starting to become meaner and nastier?

My looks have pretty much been the same so it's not like I've suddenly have become worse looking to evoke disgust or anger from people.

Everyone just seems on edge or intense these day. It used to be that in America people would at least put on fake smiles or pretend to be friendly but everyone (meaning mostly average men) seem fucking angry.

I suppose is the worsening economy, men having a much harder time to find jobs, middle class males being locked out of the job market because the media is shitting on them.

Or maybe it's just in my head. I dunno man.

I don’t trust anybody to do right by me unless we have aligned incentives. This has been true since time immemorial.

People have always been selfish short sighted nasty backstabbing fucks. Don’t count on anyone unless they stand to benefit from cooperation, and even then be careful if they could have a conflict of interest or better outcome elsewhere. Less trust in cooperation is usually best.

This is a slow process taking place, since many years ago. ( I believe it started back in 2007 )
Its getting worse by each year.

Its defiantly because culture has been hijacked by capitalism and made everything about looks and money. But also as you age, ppl lose any empathy for you as an ugly person. Idk about normies but I've spent too much time on black pill shit to just forget it and fake a retarded smile just to make people (who honestly couldn't give less of a shit about me) comfortable. Maybe it has something to do with decreased genuine interactions with people due to how easy it is to talk over the internet and just how many things there are to waste time on combined with bad or nonexistent parenting that's making the average person angrier. Men in particular are not only lonely as far as real friendships go but they can't even get with a foid below their looksmatch who isn't an entitled whore.
