I think winter is worse as it is the end of the year. You look back on another year of pain, disappointment and humiliation, knowing that your time to “make it happen” is increasingly running out, but deep down you know next year will be the exact same.

Yes, it's worse, more depressing. Only part of the country where winter is bearable is Crimean south coast and coastline between Anapa and Sochi, rarely it snows there, more sun, warmer, winter is short there. Other parts of southern federal disctrict are fine too.

Summer all the year isnt a solution as well, the sweet spot is autumn. Even if you rot all day at home during summer, the heats gets unbearable in your room and most people outside of countries like USA dont have an AC
