Most people I know are activist types and goin’ crazy with virtue signaling. The only ultra pessimists I know irl are basically just myself

It's not cynicism. Being humorous, sarcastic, cynical, all require having a good body of knowledge retained and the ability to retrieve them and assemble them into a witty remarks at a conversational speed. Normies are usually too low IQ for such an endeavor. Their remarks are just malicious and foolishness.
I just realized I only talk to a select few people and I rarely use social media. So no, I haven't.
