Lyrics aren't a priority for me when it comes to music. Relationships and breakups are very common themes in lyrics, and I like a lot of songs with lyrics centred on those themes, but I don't listen to them for the lyrics as I can't relate to them in any way; rather, it's the melodies that appeal to me - essentially it's not about what's being said but rather the way in which it's being said through vocal melodies.
