Anyone else hated being a kid?

I couldn’t stand it, I think I might’ve been more mature for my age in a lot of ways. I couldn’t relate to kids my age, often wasn’t into kiddy things, and was more interested in more complex subjects like politics, history, nature, and the world in general. Probably a small part of the reason why I was ostracized. At 5 years old I was having conversations about politics with my grandparents, coherently as well.

I hated how little control I had over my life, and how people always just brushed me off and underestimated me and said “you’re just a kid”. It annoyed me to no ends. I would always say when I get older you’ll regret it because I’ll be on the same level as you, I’ll get a job, a house, and everything. This was my way with coping, the thought of someday having control felt great, but then I got older and don’t care about anything anymore because I realized the truth about the world.

I’ll never miss being younger, you couldn’t do shit. Can’t go out on your own, everyone’s sees you as fucking retarded due to your age, no one likes you unless they enjoy the company of kids, and you can’t go on certain spaces on the internet. No freedom at all.

It’s only worse now considering that many online porn sites are starting to have to require you to show your ID. I’m so glad that wasn’t around when I was younger, although it wouldn’t have stopped me because I knew about vpns. Porn is poison though so I still could’ve been better without it.

I enjoyed my childhood until I hit puberty. Before then I could cope with being a social reject by immersing myself in my hobbies, lego and minecraft redstone contraptions. After middle school I realized that I was a worthless human and viscerally hated by everyone around me.
I thought I could just ignore normies hating on me until I got punched in the head for no reason at age 14, then school just became a nightmare surviving through the day.
