Pretty much the entirety of my school life and any glimmer of hope my life had stopped at 13 because it just got worse

Yes, it was the worst when I was at the opposite ends of the school system: Elementary & HS

I was shit on most of my time in both by "friends" and people who outright hated me

All I ever did was try to be peoples friend and it got me spat upon(metaphorically)

Same here. I remember making it a point in my last two grades of middle school to mentally check how much I was being made fun or otherwise disrespected or insulted every day, and how close to genuinely attempting a suicide I was. I never got pushed that far, but there were only 3 or 4 days in those years that I wasn't bullied at least once.
