The reason of this is that brazilians really want to be europeans and consider europeans and europe to be better that the shithole they live. It's like watching a kid playing with a toy and show them a better good looking brand new toy, they will crave for it and completely ignore their old toy. The same apply for brazilians hating their own country and craving anything that comes from Europe, even the skin color
